Cabins-relics of the past

The Port des Pierrettes, City of St-Sulpice, Vaud
(Switzerland)

Over the years, the little cabins for amateur or professional fishermen were erected here on the lakeside, close to the site of a former lake dwelling site. Subsequently, a port was developed and the site, which is frequented especially by fishermen, has remained very popular. Thirteen small cabins now serve as summer residences. A building project aimed at destroying them encountered determined opposition. The cabins have been classified as a "Léman heritage", and the interesting life styles are to be preserved as monuments to the past." (C. Bertola)
