Seine to Notre-Dame

Quai Tournelle Paris
(France)

The view taken from the Tournelle Bridge shows unloaded merchandises on the port of the same name built in 1340. We can see the Archevêché Bridge constructed in 1828, the Cité Island, and the Saint-Louis Bridge that is attached to the Saint-Louis island. At the foot of Notre-Dame we can find a mortuary. The Saint-Louis Bridge which connects the Saint-Louis Island and the Cité Island was reconstructed in 1970, and the Tournelle port became a promenade in 1980. We notice that roadsigns are hanged on the Archevêché Bridge to indicate the direction of the river traffic. (P. Pellegrini)
