Livery Port
Quay of Louvre, Paris (France)
This view shows the activities of the Port Saint-Nicolas at the foot of the Louvre. Since it is a port of merchandises, we can find wood cases, barrels, and bottles on the quay. We can also see the Arts Bridge and a boat carrying passengers across the river. Today the quay has become a promenade. Between 1982 and 1984, the Bridge of Arts was rebuilt with less arches to facilitate the navigation of boats. We notice on the upper left part of the quay, the boxes of the Bouquinistes who propose passers-by old books. (P. Pellegrini)
