View of Otsu from the sky

Looking down the shore of Lake Biwa from the sky of Otsu. We can see that the lakeshore has been already reclamated but there are not yet that many buildings. The picture taken in 1997 shows already buildings that are occupying all the space around but today many more buildings, such as Lake Biwa Hall, were built. Due to the consideration for the landscape, today's shoreline is more curved than before. (A. Kobayashi)
