Drag nets of Kaizu

A lot of men, women, children lively pulling together the fish net on the shore. We can tell from the picture that pulling fish net was the event all the village people participated in. This photo may be taken in Taisho era (1910-1920.) because we can see the people still wearing Kimono. On the back we can see a pier. We can always find traces of this pier but today the shuttle boat no longer passes this place. No one pulls drag nets there either. (A. Kobayashi)
